Generally, if you are enrolled in our weekly classes, your start time is 9.00pm to 3.00pm, but other course start and end times may vary, so please check your course details on our website, or contact administration: info@localhost or (02) 8252 9963 if you are not sure.
All of our qualifications (Certificate- Advanced Diploma courses) are nationally recognised and PCA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO code 2658).
Our campus is located in Manning House, Level 7/451 Pitt St Haymarket Sydney NSW 2000- a five minute walk from Central (same block as Gloria Jeans) close to the famous Paddy's Markets, and Sydney’s Chinatown.
Generally, you only need access to the internet (Google Chrome works best). Skype may be recommended for some courses, and video with audio ability may be required for some course tasks and assessments. i.e. you may need to video a role play or presentation. We’ll let you know once we receive your enrolment form.
There are several payment plans available; generally they are: Fortnightly, Monthly or Semester, payments. You can pay via EFTPOS into our bank account (see your Student Handbook for details or over the phone via credit/debit card (Mastercard and Visa only). We’ll also tailor one which may suit your needs better, if requested. Once we have your enrolment form, we’ll contact you to discuss your payment plan and help you choose a suitable plan.
A uniform is mandatory for students attending the Diploma of Business Administration class-based
(40 week) course. This is an additional cost and students can refer to the website for the uniform costs and details. All other courses on campus students are expected to attend in smart/ casual appropriate clothing.
Some courses do have additional costs- like textbooks. Please check the individual course page for additional costs which may apply.
A number of our courses, including CIII in Individual Support and some of our hospitality courses do require work placement. Please refer to our website under the individual course information to see if it applies to your course. All work placement in our courses is unpaid, and generally we organise the work placement for you. We’ll discuss this with you in detail, once your enrolment form has been received.
That’s great! We’ll be in touch within 24 hours to welcome you to PCA and discuss your study details!
(Please allow extra time to hear back from us, we’ll call you on the next available business day, if you enrol over the weekend or public holiday/s)
Your attendance is a crucial part of your learning experience and we encourage students to attend all classes where possible. We believe an 80% attendance rate is achievable and reasonable, for your course duration.
We acknowledge that sometimes you won’t be able to attend class due to illness or other circumstances beyond your control. Please let your trainer know as soon as possible if you cannot attend a class, or contact administration. In some circumstances you may need to make up a lesson or class, and if your absence is over two days and due to illness we’ll need a doctor’s certificate or letter.
Each course has a different structure, so the duration depends on delivery and if there are work placement hours involved, however usually our Diplomas are for a one-two years. Please refer to the duration for each course on our website.
Your online log in will be sent to you upon your successful enrolment and we’ll be in touch with you to help you log in and get you started. We’ll also send you detailed instructions with the log in email.
Your trainer will send you a welcome email with their availability and contact details- including phone and email. You can also contact administration via email or phone for additional online learning support.
Yes, they do. We do recommend for long term online study that you have a desk computer in a quiet room or space conducive to studying online.
