Corporate Alliance Director
Bevan McPherson has been with PCA since 2015 when he joined as Group Learning and Development Manager for St Patrick’s Institute of Education and CatholicCare. He is an experienced vocational education manager with in-depth experience in the VET sector, including: course development, sales, policy and compliance procedures development, education industry regulation and accreditation, audit preparation, administration and student management.
As Corporate Alliance Director, Bevan works to plan and develop vocational strategies for internships and job placement of our students with corporations and businesses. This includes working with apprenticeship centres, industry skills councils, industry associations and other stakeholders in the VET sector. He also builds business referral alliances with corporations, Job Service Australia (JSA) and Disability Employment Service (DES) providers, Government departments, schools and other education institutions.
He holds an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management, Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, Double Diploma of Vocational Education and Training/BSBTAE5011 Diploma of Training Design and Development (SOA), Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Diploma of Direct Marketing, and is a Fellow of the Commercial Education Society of Australia.
Dominic Buchta joined Patrick Careers Academy in 2009, and has been working in the industry as a Trainer since 1996. He brings a wealth of experience to PCA following a career that has encompassed the Australian Army Reserve, as well as marketing management roles in the registered club and hospitality industries. During his time in the hospitality industry, Dominic developed learning and assessment resources for several entities, including the first ‘Club Directors for Foundation Masterclass’ for Clubs NSW, Tourism/Hospitality/Events Training Package assessment tools for MEGT, and RSA resources and assessments for TAFE NSW.
He is currently studying Mandarin, holds a Diploma of Training Design and Development, a Diploma of Hospitality Management and a Diploma of Business.
