Bevan McPherson

Chief Executive Officer
Bevan joined us in September 2015 as the new Group Learning and Development Manager for St Patrick's Institute of Education and CatholicCare.

He comes to St Patrick's with in-depth experience in the vocational education sector and a 360 degree view of training operations, including: course development; sales; policy and compliance procedures development; education industry regulation and accreditation (Standards for RTOs 2015); audit preparation; continuous improvement programs; as well as administration, training and student management.

My vision for Patrick Careers Academy is to expand the number of courses we currently have on our scope and to increase our enrolments to include new learners who are able to take advantage of our VET FEE-HELP via our flexible learning programs. In future, this will include interactive and entertaining e-learning."


Dominic Buchta

Academic Manager
Dominic entered the vocational industry as a trainer in 1996, following a career that has encompassed the Australian Army Reserve as well as marketing management roles in the registered club and hospitality industries. During his time in the hospitality industry, Dominic developed learning and assessment resources for several entities,including the first Club Directors for Foundation Masterclass of Clubs NSW; Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Package assessment tools for MEGT; and Responsible Service of Alcohol resources and assessments for TAFE NSW.

He joined St Patrick's Institute of Education since 2009, and aside from his extensive training endeavours. Dominic also runs his own small business in the coffee industry and works passionately as a videographer and editor in the corporate entertainment industry. He is currently studying Mandarin, holds a Diploma of Training Design and Development, a Diploma of Hospitality Management and a Diploma of Business.
